Perl around the world.

Maybe it's just that I'm so very American but I've been reading the posts from the Perl Iron Man challenge and I'm amazed and excited at how many posts there are in other languages. Just now I've seen Spanish, French, German, and what I think is Russian. Yes, I know that Perl is spoken around the world, but, for me, it's neat to see a microcosm of the world. Sometimes these posts seem interesting from the code that they present, but unfortunately I'm too much of a monoglot.

Anyway, Perl++

  1. Yes! We are present all over the world!
    I'm writting from Spain:

    Un saludo en castellano, desde EspaƱa
    (Best regards in spanish, from Spain)

  2. I am surprised you did not notice the Japanese (or maybe they are Chinese) posts.

  3. Yeah, like you, I'm essentially a monoglot, but I'm enjoying all the different languages. Between the Perl code and Google Translate, I can usually figure out what's going on. I don't really know any Spanish, but ever since I saw this post, I've been saying "los perleros" at every opportunity; it just sounds so much better than English!

  4. I wonder if we could build google translate or bablefish into the ironman homepage.

  5. ++ for the ironman semi-auto-translate option!
